Puzzle Books {Giveaway}

I’m one of those people that doesn’t like to just sit still and do nothing. Even when I’m watching TV I like to keep my mind busy. I love doing Sudoku puzzles because there is a box for every number and I know which steps I need to take to solve it.

I had a chance to review three puzzle books. The first was Puzzle Baron’s Sudoku. There are over 400 puzzles in this book so I know it will keep me busy for a long time. I easily figured out the first puzzles in the book and am looking forward to working my way through the rest.

Next, I moved on to The Complete Idiot’s Guide to Picture Puzzles {Volume 2} where I had to look for differences between two similar pictures. I did the first puzzle which was marked “easy”. I liked that it had check boxes on the side of the page so I could mark the differences as I found them. I still pulled out my pen and circled the errors I found on one of the pictures. Some of the differences were easy to spot but a couple of them had me stumped. I eventually found the differences but it wasn’t as easy as I had originally thought it was going to be.

The last book I opened up was the Puzzle Baron’s Logic Puzzles {Volume 2} book. As soon as I read the first puzzle my head hurt but I really liked that it had a little spreadsheet at the bottom of the page so that I could keep track of everything. I waited until I had some quiet time and then pulled it out and set to work on solving the puzzle. I found myself taking longer to solve the puzzle than the time the book suggested it would take but once I figured it out I was proud of myself and wanted to try another one.

Though the Sudoku puzzles are still my favorite I really enjoyed doing the logic puzzles as well. I think these books would be great on a road trip. Want to win a set of books for yourself? You can!

  1. You love to challenge yourself with brainteasers of all kinds, but there’s something special about picture puzzles. The photos are entertaining, the changes are subtle, and the vibrant images give your eyes a break from plain old black-and-white puzzles.
