Celebrate National Noodle Day with P.F. Chang’s

Today is National Noodle Day so to celebrate I enjoyed one of P.F. Chang’s NEW Home Menu Products! For lunch I tried their Garlic Chicken with Dan Dan Noodles meal. I liked that the noodles came in little nests so they cooked properly and weren’t too soft. The flavor was good and the chicken pieces were plentiful. Best of all, it was an easy meal. All I had to do was dump the package into a pan on the stove and cook it for about 10 minutes or so, stirring it a few times, and it was done. Those are the kind of meals I love!

See the little noodle nests?

P.F. Chang’s new products include:

  • Garlic Chicken with Dan Dan Noodles – White meat chicken with a savory garlic sauce, bell peppers, bok choy and yakisoba noodles
  • Pepper Steak with Chow Fun Noodles – Steak with a sweet and peppery sauce, bell peppers, onions and chow fun noodles
  • Grilled Chicken Teriyaki with Lo Mein Noodles – Grilled chicken with a teriyaki sauce, pineapple, red bell peppers, onions and lo mein noodles
  • Firecracker Shrimp with Yakisoba Noodles – Lightly battered shrimp with spicy sauce, carrots, edamame, onions and yakisoba noodles

P.F. Chang’s Home Menu Review and Giveaway

Date nights out are rare since I’ve become a parent. Normally Sinisa and I spend our date nights in watching movies or DVR’d shows while eating dinner (and of course dessert!) We recently had the chance to try a meal from the new P.F. Chang’s Home Menu line of frozen meals. I love the restaurant so I wanted to see if the frozen meals available tasted like the meals I can get when I eat out.

While at the store I chose the Shanghai Style Beef. All of the meals were on sale for considerably less than we would have spent at the restaurant. It was easy to make on the stovetop, taking less than 15 minutes, and tasted delicious. Sinisa described it as “flavorful and authentic.” We did add rice to create a complete meal. This package (with the additional rice) created three servings so there was a leftover lunch for me.
