Fall Fun At Santa’s Village

Thanks to Santa’s Village for hosting my family for a day of fun at their amusement park.

School may be back in session but the summer fun doesn’t need to end because Santa’s Village Amusement Park, an outdoor family theme and fun park in the Chicago area, is open on the weekends through October. All throughout the fall, families can enjoy the roller coasters, thrill rides, kid rides, animal attractions & more. My family visited a couple weekends ago and it was the perfect way to spend a Saturday after a long week of school and work.

We had been to Santa’s Village before but this was Emma’s first time being able to go on the rides. She absolutely loved going on all the rides with her Nana!

Santa’s Village is ideal for younger children because the majority of rides are child friendly.

Don’t worry though…if you have older kids they will find plenty to do! My tween boys loved how short all the lines were on the Saturday afternoon that we went because they could go on their favorite rides over and over again. They also enjoyed mining for gems and I was impressed at the size of the rocks they found hidden in their bags of sand.

A perk of spending the day at Santa’s Village? Getting to see the jolly man himself of course! There’s a cute little building and we stopped by for a visit.

Emma was all smiles while waiting to meet Santa for the very first time.

When we got in there, it was a different story. She’s at that age where she is starting to recognize faces and realize when she doesn’t recognize a face. Santa told my mom to hand her to him backwards but it was too late because Emma had already realized what was going on. It was a good trial run for our annual holiday photo though and we were still able to get a picture of the boys with Santa.

Overall we had a fantastic day at Santa’s Village and look forward to going back again. If you want to visit this fall make sure to check their park hours here. They also just opened a fun water attraction as well so bring your suits next time you visit on a warm day. It was a bit chilly the day we went so the kids didn’t go in but I’ve promised them that we will return next summer, too! I
