Shopping At Savers For Fall Clothes {Giveaway}

I think you all know by now that I love to shop so when Savers asked me to be one of their Back To School Ambassadors and buy some clothes for the boys I said I’d love to. Not only does Savers have great deals but each Savers Thrift Store donates a portion of their proceeds to charity. The location near me happens to donate their money to a charity dear to my heart- The Epilepsy Foundation of Chicago. My {step}mom passed away in 2009 during a seizure in the middle of the night after suffering for 10 years with Epilepsy and a handful of other issues. I’m happy to give my money to any company that supports such an important cause.

Once I received my gift certificates I headed to the store. Savers is a HUGE resale store full of quality used items. I have never looked at an item there that I wouldn’t use in my home or dress my family in. I always try to buy clothes for the boys in the next size up so that I never run into the problem of discovering that Jacob grew out of his clothes and then I have to run to the store and pay full price for clothes. I realize that this system won’t work for that much longer because he will have his own thoughts on clothes soon enough but it has really saved me a lot of money for the past five and a half years. The fact that Lucas can then wear the clothes is an even bigger bonus!

Here are some of the items that I found at my local Savers:

Barely worn GAP denim for less than $7

***

A comfy hooded sweatshirt for those chilly Fall mornings

***

Character t-shirt for the Yoda lover

Overall this is what I found for about $220 {this wardrobe covers numerous seasons and four sizes}:

15 pairs of jeans

4 pairs of dress pants

3 hooded sweatshirts

1 sweater

2 pairs of jean shorts

1 pair of athletic shorts

3 pairs of bathing suit shorts

1 tank top

7 t-shirts

1 pair of sandals

1 Halloween costume

1 sweater jacket

1 winter coat

5 long sleeve shirts

1 backpack

1 bag of Transformer toys

1 bag of Imaginext toys

***

If you were just buying for the Back to School season you could get a full wardrobe for less than $90!

  1. Probably shirts – Ninjago if they have them or anything Star Wars or Lego related for my 3 year old son. Maybe some hooded sweatshirts for winter too.

  4. Going to be visiting up North this fall/winter and will need a jacket since I live in south Florida. Will be able to get a nice, inexpensive one at Savers.
