Available in Hardcover English or in the Soft Cover bilingual version of English/Spanish. This bilingual version appears to be unique as the two languages are next to each other and highlighted words help the reader to learn words of the second language. The book is landscape 8″x 10″ and 40 pages of good life lessons, goodwill, hope and fun. Just what is needed at Christmas time.

I love that the softcover version has both English and Spanish stories because I think it’s great for bilingual families. Sinisa is bilingual and I wish we had something like this for our children so they could have some stories in both English and Croatian. I like that some words are bold in both English and Spanish so that children can learn new vocabulary words. The story is kind of long for my 3 and 4 year old since their attention spans are pretty short but if your child will sit for a longer story I think they will love this book and be so into the adventure that it won’t seem so long.

Illustration-wise I think this book was done nicely. The pictures are cute and very detailed, down to the little girls freckles. The characters are easy to love, especially the little puppy, Happy, who is based on a real Yorkie.

This softcover bilingual book also comes with a free poster which is a nice bonus. The book is one in a series. The next book is ‘Happy As A Fox’. The books can be found here.
