Chicago Mix Popcorn

(Disclosure: I received samples but thoughts are my own.)

Chicago Mix Popcorn

Have you ever heard of Chicago Mix Popcorn before? It’s a concept that is fairly new to me but I love it. What it does is take the sweet taste of caramel popcorn and the salty taste of cheese popcorn and combines the two flavored popcorn into one bag. No idea how it got it’s name but it’s delicious!

I recently received samples of GH Cretors Popcorn. The caramel corn is made the old fashioned way: by hand, in copper kettles. Cane sugar, brown rice syrup (a non-GMO alternative to corn syrup with a lower glycemic impact) and real butter is heated over a flame and then stirred slowly by hand to develop its rich complex flavor and crunch. For the cheese corn, real cheddar cheese is melted in special kettles and then gently mixed with locally-grown, air-popped corn. The result is a perfect combination of tastes, two-cheese to one-caramel in every bag. And, this treat is all natural and completely free of GMO’s, artificial colors, flavors, and preservatives!

Not a fan of mixing your popcorn flavors? You are in luck because GH Cretors sells “Just the Cheese Corn” and “Just the Caramel Corn” separately. Also, just in time for Halloween, they are selling single serve sized bags of the popcorn that is just right for handing out to Trick-or-Treaters.

Which flavor would you try first?
